Statement on the Introduction of Bipartisan Bill to Accelerate Resources to America’s Charities

WASHINGTON, DC – The Initiative to Accelerate Charitable Giving today issued the following statement on the introduction of the Accelerating Charitable Efforts (ACE) Act by Senator Angus King (I-Maine) and Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa):

“The Initiative to Accelerate Charitable Giving is pleased that policymakers are proposing bipartisan legislation to reform our charitable giving laws by restoring the connection between charitable tax benefits and benefits to charities. The bill introduced by Senator Angus King and Senator Chuck Grassley reflects the policy ideas outlined in the Initiative to Accelerate Charitable Giving’s statement of principles and puts them into action in a pragmatic and thoughtful way that will produce a result all Members of Congress can agree with: getting more money to our nation’s charities faster.”
